TierraModel No-Compromise Wave Equation Modeling
How to Access and Run TierraModel
TierraModel is a High Performance Compute (HPC) software application designed to run on a small cluster of conventional Intel/AMD 1 workstations. The average size model requires 2-8 Gbytes of memory.
SeisSpace/ProMAX Plug-in
Use SeisSpace/ProMAX infrastructure to set up the jobs, run the modeling on a cluster, migrate the resulting data, and output it ready for interpretation. This option provides TierraModel as an add-on module for SeisSpace/ProMAX. Use modeling with the new ProMAX DepthCharge product to easily migrate the data. Stand-alone Option
TierraModel has a simple interface that makes it easy to fit into an existing in-house infrastructure. The software is a single node batch application that takes as input a binary grid of velocities and optional density and outputs traces in SEGY format.

Model building
The main input needed for TierraModel is a 3D model, generally represented as a dense 3D grid of points of velocity values. Density values are optional. Several applications can produce these models. The most common one is probably GOCAD. Petrel may work. Another option is EarthVision from Dynamic Graphics. A start up interpretation company with interesting cababilities is TerraSpark's Insight Earth Model product.
